This year’s FIFA World Cup is very special.
It will take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022. It will be the 22nd FIFA World Cup competition and the first in the Arab World. Because of intense heat, this will be the first World Cup held from November to December and not as usually in June or July.
International playoffs are now complete and 32 nations that qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2022 are drawn into eight groups:
GROUP A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, and the Netherlands
GROUP B: England, Iran, United States, and Wales
GROUP C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Tunisia
GROUP D: France, Australia, Denmark, and Tunisia
GROUP E: Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, and Japan
GROUP F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, and Croatia
GROUP G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, and Cameroon
GROUP H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, and the Korea Republic
At first glance, the usual favorites are expected to win each group (Netherlands, England, Argentina, France, Spain, Belgium, Brazil, and Portugal). But it's hard to pick one big favorite to lift the trophy after the final.
Currently, the biggest favorites to win the World Cup are Brazil. They have a few very strong rivals in France and England and not far behind follow Spain and Argentina.
